8th Annual Men’s Retreat

WHEN IS IT?

Friday night through Sunday morning, May 1-3, 2020. Registration opens at 4 pm, dinner will be provided on Friday night, and the first session will be after dinner. The retreat will end Sunday morning, with enough time to catch breakfast on the way home and be back for the morning worship service.

Hwy 41 north, through Oakhurst >right on Road 632 (3/4 mile after Bass Lake turn off) and go 5 miles > left on Calvin Crest Road and go two miles. Approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes from Fresno.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The price for two nights, five meals and all of the teaching/activities is $170. This is non-refundable and is a flat rate. Partial stays will be charged at the flat rate. Register by April 12, and we’ll add a T-shirt to your registration.

WHEN DO I SIGN UP?

Sign-ups start Sunday, March 15 and end Sunday, April 19. Payment is required at the time of registration.

CAN I BRING FRIENDS?

YES! This has been a wonderful event to invite family members and friends. The men’s retreat is for adults, ages 18 and over.

ARE CARPOOLS AVAILABLE?

We encourage you to please make your own transportation arrangements where possible. Carpool with friends or small group members, and please talk to your small group leader if you can drive others or would like to carpool.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring a swimsuit, sunblock, athletic gear if you want to join in the Saturday afternoon games, hiking and/or running gear, and definitely your BIBLE!

OUR SPEAKER THIS YEAR is Stuart Scott. Many of you know Stuart as the author of The Exemplary Husband, though he has written five other books as well.

Dr. Scott teaches in the area of biblical counseling at The Master’s University graduate program in Santa Clarita, CA. He also teaches adjunctly at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He brings more than 35 years of experience in counseling and pastoral ministry.He serves currently as the Member Care Director and a Fellow with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).

Dr. Scott and his wife Zondra have been married for over 36 years and have two grown children, Christa and Marc, and two grandchildren. They currently live in Santa Clarita.
