Our speaker

We are privileged to welcome Michele Pillar as our guest speaker. An author and singer, Michele is a three-time Grammy and Dove Award nominee. Her testimony offers meaningful words for anyone who has ever needed help to overcome a difficulty. Michele’s own journey of courage began early in life while hiding under her bed to escape the effects of her parents’ addictions. But when Michele looks back at those days, she feels only gratitude.

Michele says: “There is no better way to experience the powerful hand of God than to watch Him heal the human spirit of such travesties. Once healed, these negative experiences are dwarfed and God uses them to heal others through someone like me. I am no different than anyone else. I just talk about true-to-life happenings in front of crowds of people. That’s why God allowed my beginnings to be as they were. He knew I would be restored, He would be glorified, and others would be empowered and restored as well.”

In her Clothesline conferences, audiences are captivated by a full-scale clothesline, center stage. Minutes later, they are hearing Michele’s signature music, laughing along with her stories as she hangs garments, representing her earliest beliefs. Right before everyone’s eyes, a wardrobe of redemption unfolds, hanging from tiny little clothespins. Michele weaves in God’s Word and promises, and soon all in attendance recognize garments they’ve worn too long and see how so “not unique” and not alone they are.

Michele’s latest book is Untangled: The Truth Will Set You Free.

Massage appointments

This year, in our day spa room, we will have a limited number of massage appointments available by massage therapist students. Once your retreat payment is received and your registration is complete, you will be sent the link to sign up. Don’t delay, spaces are available on a first come, first served basis! Because the students are not yet licensed and cannot accept payment for their services, they will be thanked with dinner and a small gift we have prepared. If you’d like to contribute toward this token of gratitude, please make a cash donation at the retreat. There will be a collection jar at the check-in table.
