Ministries at Harvest

Small Groups

Do you long for spiritual growth? Do you want to become more like Christ, but find that it hard to do by yourself? If so, join us at Harvest where you will be involved in small group ministry.

Harvest Bible Chapel is a church comprised of small groups. Our Mission is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by making quality disciples according to the Lord’s great commission in Matthew 28:18-20.

Harvest is committed to making quality disciples and is not as concerned about the quantity of disciples. A quality disciple is one who worships Christ, walks with Christ, and Works for Christ. Our goal is to be faithful to the Lord’s great commission, and to be deliberate about it on a weekly and daily basis.

At Harvest, you will never be alone or “get lost in the crowd” at church, unless you deliberately choose that path. We are committed to ensure that all Harvest members and attendees receive the ministry of the Word, prayer, and enjoy edifying fellowship within the body of Christ on a weekly basis. Over the past 20 years, Harvest Bible Chapel has discovered that the most effective way to minister to God’s people is through the format of small group ministry.

At Harvest, we believe in Biblical counseling. Biblical counsel by its name implies reliance on the Scriptures; however what makes counseling Biblical is not simply being able to proof text or point to a verse, it is much more comprehensive. How we define and differentiate Biblical counsel from all other counseling:

At Harvest we desire that Men be Men by Biblical definition. God has commissioned men with the privilege of being the Spiritual leaders in the home and the Church.

Our Men’s ministry seeks to develop men in their leadership and personal integrity as we seek to live lives glorifying to the Lord. We actively disciple men through small groups during mutual ministry and men only discipleship groups and activities.

“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

At Harvest we desire that Women be Women by Biblical definition. God has commissioned women with the privilege of overseeing the home, the teaching of children, and the teaching and discipling of women in the Church. Our women’s ministry seeks to develop women in their God given roles, living lives glorifying to the Lord.

Within small groups, specific events, and sessions, we seek to intentionally grow as women who crave Biblical direction, discipleship, and accountability through the direction of the Word of God.

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”

Titus 2:3-5

harvest kids

Our goal at Harvest Kids is to show our children the Greatness of God and the Greatness of the Gospel.

We desire for children to KNOW Jesus, GROW in Jesus and to SHOW Jesus to the world around them. Kids will experience the love of Christ through the caring volunteers, a safe environment in which to play and learn, and age-appropriate classroom activities designed to point them to Christ. Harvest Kids is a dynamic program consisting of classrooms for Nursery (birth – 36 months) , PreK & Kindergarten (age 3 yrs.-6 yrs.), and Elementary (1st grade – 5th grade). through 5th grade.

During each weekend service, we offer your child the opportunity to learn the truth of Scripture and how to apply it to their lives. Class time includes a time of Christ-centered worship, a large group creative and  interactive teaching time, fun games and a time in small groups. These small groups focus on life application of the lesson, prayer and Scripture memory.

Harvest Bible Chapel is committed to passing on the truth of God’s Word to the next generation.

Harvest Students consists of fellowship, small groups and, most importantly, time spent in God’s Word.

We want our Jr. High and Sr. High (7th-12th Grade) students to love, worship and enjoy God through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ!

By partnering with parents, training leaders, and fostering small groups – our hope is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through Gospel-centered teaching, community, and service.

At Harvest, we want to have a ton of fun, and we believe there is nothing more fun than knowing God. We believe that God has given the Bible to us so that we may know how to live rightly in relation to Him and others.
