Ministries at Harvest

Do you long for spiritual growth? Do you want to become more like Christ, but find that it hard to do by yourself? If so, join us at Harvest, where our small group ministry is foundational to mission of making disciples of Jesus.

We love Sunday mornings at Harvest Fresno, but it’s hard to get to know people on a personal and spiritual level through Sunday mornings alone. Our small groups provide opportunity for the spiritual growth we are called to by Jesus and the apostles when we read the New Testament. We encourage everyone who calls Harvest Fresno home to become regularly involved in a small group.

Our small groups provide a comfortable balance among three elements: a study and conversation of what it means to live as a follower of Jesus, the mutual ministry of counsel and prayer, and the enjoyable fellowship of like-minded friends in the faith. We’ve seen lives transformed as people become committed to help one another mature in their faith.

At Harvest we desire that men be men by biblical definition. God has commissioned men with the privilege of being the spiritual leaders in the home and the Church.

Our men’s ministry seeks to develop men in their leadership and personal integrity as we seek to live lives glorifying to the Lord. We actively disciple men through small groups during mutual ministry and men only discipleship groups and activities.

“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” -1 Corinthians 16:13-14

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”Titus 2:3-5

At Harvest we desire that women be women by biblical definition. God has commissioned women with the privilege of overseeing the home, the teaching of children, and the teaching and discipling of women in the Church. Our women’s ministry seeks to develop women in their God given roles, living lives glorifying to the Lord.

During small groups, specific events, and our annual retreat, we seek to intentionally grow as women who crave biblical direction, discipleship, and accountability through the direction of the Word of God.

Moms with young children meet every Tuesday at 11 AM. The location is always different. Group texts and e-mails with the location go out every Monday evening. Anyone interested can contact Kate Sweet at or

At Harvest Kids we show our children the greatness of God and the greatness of the Gospel.

We desire for children to KNOW Jesus, GROW in Jesus and to SHOW Jesus to the world around them. Kids will experience the love of Christ through the caring volunteers, a safe environment in which to play and learn, and age-appropriate classroom activities designed to point them to Christ. Harvest Kids is a dynamic program consisting of classrooms for Nursery (birth – 36 months), PreK & Kindergarten (age 3 years-6 years), and Elementary (1st grade – 6th grade).

During each weekend service, we offer your child the opportunity to learn the truth of Scripture and how to apply it to their lives. Class time includes Christ-centered worship, a creative and interactive teaching time, fun games, and a time in small groups. These small groups focus on life application of the lesson, prayer and Scripture memory.

Harvest FRESNO is committed to passing on the truth of God’s Word to the next generation.

We want our Jr. High and Sr. High (7th-12th Grade) students to love, worship and enjoy God through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ!

By partnering with parents, training leaders, and fostering small groups – our hope is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through Gospel-centered teaching, community, and service.

At Harvest, we want to have a ton of fun, and we believe there is nothing more fun than knowing God. We believe that God has given the Bible to us so that we may know how to live rightly in relation to Him and others.

Harvest Students MEETINGS consist of fellowship, small groups and, most importantly, time spent in God’s Word.

Biblical Counseling

At Harvest, we believe in biblical counseling. Biblical counseling by its name implies reliance on the Scriptures; however what makes counseling biblical is not simply being able to proof text or point to a verse; it is much more comprehensive. Read more about our counseling philosophy or contact us to get connected with this ministry.

How we define and differentiate biblical counsel from all other counseling:

The focus of compassion ministries at Harvest Fresno is to honor God by fulfilling the mission the Lord gave His followers to make disciples, baptize the disciples, and teach them to follow His ways. (Matthew 28:19-20)

He hasn’t just given the local church a place to meet, but has implanted us in communities that He desires for us to fully reach. We are to live this out through ministry in Word and deed. (Romans 15:18)

In Fresno, we offer literacy tutoring at Lincoln Elementary School, sponsor an annual coat drive at Kastner Intermediate School, and financially support Every Neighborhood Partnership, Evangelicals for Social Action, and New City Church.
